The Multimedia Laboratory of the Athens
University of Economics & Business was created thanks to a large research project,
entitled ODILE in Greece (Open & Distance Learning in Greece). The project was
financed through the european initiative STRIDE-Hellas and was led by Professor Maria
Constantopoulou. Its aim was to investigate the possibility of using new educational
technologies in the training of greek civil servants. It offered the Research Centre of
the Athens University of Economics the opportunity to accumulate the necessary
infrastructure and know-how for the creation of multimedia applications. The Multimedia Laboratory is
now affiliated to the Department of Management Science & Marketing and supports the
teaching of three courses in the area of New Communication Technologies offered by the
department. It undertakes projects financed through private and public sources and managed
by the Research Centre of the University. |
